Stark Covered Bridge Wins National Recognition Award
We are so pleased to announce that our work on the Stark Covered Bridge rehabilitation received a national Engineering Excellence Recognition Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies during Engineer’s Week! This historic bridge rehabilitation project was a labor of love for HEB; designing and overseeing the construction of this historic Paddleford truss was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Construction activities took over a year to complete and the bridge was reopened in a dedication ceremony in late June 2015.
Thank you to all of our partners, including the Town of Stark, the Historic Documentation Company, Yeaton Associates, Lee Carroll Electrical Engineers, North Country Soil Services, and Alpine Construction (who painstakingly cut and installed new timbers in frigid winter conditions)! This project was a great success and we are proud to have a part in the preservation of a piece of New Hampshire’s history.
