HEB Participates in Berlin Downtown Day of Caring Event
For the past decade, HEB staff have enjoyed volunteering with the Berlin Downtown Day of Caring event. The event, organized by the Berlin Main Street program and typically held each year in May, brings several community-minded entities and citizens together to help beautify the downtown area of the City. Much of the volunteer work entails weeding, planting, mulching, and general clean-up of the downtown area. As with any community, the downtown is the heart of the community so it’s important to reflect a sense of pride and ownership to visitors and citizens alike.
Exemplifying HEB’s core purpose of “empowering our people to positively impact our clients and communities”, HEB staff pose for a group photo below at one of the planting beds just finished.
