Recognizing Excellence: HEB Team Member Promotions

At HEB, we take pride in fostering professional growth and celebrating the achievements of our team members. We are thrilled to announce the well-deserved promotions of three outstanding individuals: Sam, Eric, and Sean. Their hard work, technical skills, and passion for their craft make a lasting impact on our projects and the strength of our team.

Sam Brandt – Promoted to Staff Structural Engineer

Samuel Brandt - HEB EngineersSam joined HEB full-time in 2021 after a successful internship the previous summer. He has played an integral role in the Structural Engineering Team, assisting with the design and permitting of new or rehabilitated bridges, as well as structural building design. Additionally, Sam has been a valuable asset across both the Structural and Civil teams, assisting with HEC-RAS modeling, stream and channel restoration, and hydraulic analysis.

Originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Sam earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on structures from the University of New Hampshire in 2021. He then went on to obtain his Master of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 2023. When he’s not working, you can find Sam exploring the White Mountains, biking, kayaking, and adventuring with his family.

Eric Schroeder – Promoted to Staff Structural Engineer

Eric Schroeder - HEB EngineersSince joining HEB in 2019, Eric has contributed his expertise to a variety of structural projects, including bridge design, permitting, and construction administration. As a certified Engineer Intern in the State of Maine, Eric has demonstrated his commitment to high-quality structural engineering while also assisting with the operations of HEB’s Bridgton office and working to expand our services in Maine.

Originally from Salem, Massachusetts, Eric moved to southern Maine as a teenager before attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 2019. In 2024, he furthered his education by earning an MBA from Husson University. Outside of work, he enjoys coaching football, supporting his wife’s racing team, and spending time outdoors with his dogs, Koda and Wally.

Sean Perley – Promoted to Staff Land Surveyor

Sean Perley - HEB EngineersSean has been an essential part of HEB’s Land Survey Team since 2019, contributing to fieldwork, data processing, and plan compilation for a variety of survey projects. His experience in infrastructure, conservation, and other boundary surveying has played a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of HEB’s surveying work, helping to provide dependable results for our clients. Over the past couple of years, he has also taken on a key Crew Chief role, planning fieldwork and training our other crew members.

A lifelong resident of the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Sean developed a passion for the outdoors early on. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Wheaton College in 2016. After spending some time living on the West Coast, Sean returned to Bartlett, NH, to join HEB. In his free time, Sean enjoys lifting weights, hunting, fishing, and planning his next big adventure.
