Stark Covered Bridge Construction Continues
Construction on the Stark Covered Bridge is nearing 50% completion. HEB has continued to provide resident engineering services for the Town of Stark to ensure construction meets the original design intent. Jason Ross, HEB project manager, says the project is on schedule and within budget. “Things are on track for completion next spring. I’m sure everyone will be happy to see the bridge open for use again. These repairs were designed to maintain the historic value of the truss while addressing vehicle and pedestrian safety concerns; I think the communitywill be pleased with the results.” As one of the most photographed covered bridges in the state with the now rare Paddleford style truss, this project has received quite a bit of attention in local and state media.
